Project: As the Milk Curdles

Did any of you used to watch The Carol Burnett Show?  (One of my all-time favorite shows, and Carol Burnett is my personal idol/hero.)  Remember "As the Stomach Turns," a hysterical take-off on the soupy daytime soap opera called "As the World Turns"?  Speaking of, do any of you remember Dusty Miller?  ;)  Oh, did Lauren and I have a crush on him!  I digress...

Let's come up with the slogan for today.  Write yours in comments (and we'll see who has the most interesting life - ha ha...it isn't me).

Mine: As the Mind Wanders   (or As the Boss Irritates)

~Allison

[Wait, is Dusty Miller a plant??  ha ha.  Maybe his name was just Dusty.  I remember a scene with him and what-was-her-name making out in the upper floor of a barn, in the hay of course...seriously, does anyone remember this?]

By the way, fans, Carol Burnett wrote an incredible memoir called One More Time  and it's wonderful!  I highly recommend it.

[Just looked up the soap.  Dusty DONOVAN.  And Lily Walsh Snyder...oh dear god, her last name is Snyder!]

I was a huge Carol Burnett fan. I LOVED her show. I grew up on The Young and the Restless and As the World Turns. My mom would watch them as she cleaned the house, so I got my dose as well. Crazy, the things I have begun to remember...

Regarding your reply: Nikki is still on the show as is Victor. The neighbor to my left has a hair salon out of her garage apartment and she always has it on when I go in. Crazy. My new favorite shows are Split Ends (LOVE it) and BBC America's How Clean is Your House. That show is a work of art.

Dusty Miller is a plant, but looks very nice as a border in the flower bed. My mom is a soap addict. They all get watched every week day and those that are on at the same time as others get taped off of another television and watched in the evening. DO NOT DARE TO TELEPHONE during soap time . . . you risk the wrath of Mom! Hhmmm...that would be a good one... Risking the Wrath of Mom . . .
