We're Free!

"We're Free!"  That's what the little girl yelled as she and her dad (and me, a stranger) got off the elevator yesterday.  It was pretty funny.  We all charged out the door and into the parking lot as she continued to yell, and added some waving arms.

I'm thinking of about ten different occasions this week when I would like to yell that...

My Favorite

This is my dearly beloved, Scott. He is kind, wise, funny as hell, sweet, romantic, jaded and sarcastic, interested in politics, musical (but not overly so), and outdoorsy. He says I wooed him with my Merrell hiking boots. I had spiky short hair at the time, and wore thick black boots and a black leather jacket. You'd never know it by the picture, eh? :)

He said he had been waking up thinking about me for two or three weeks before we went out the first time. I'm not sure whether or not to believe him, but that line sure did work. We've been married four and a half years, together six and a half, ready for a lifetime.

Icicle Teeth

Dad sent me these crazy sideways icicle pictures, a result of last night's snow storm. The wind must have been blowing at the exact time the water droplets were freezing...incredible! You can see the previous, vertical icicles from the rest of winter, hanging below them.



Here is a good pic of how much snow we have in Central New Hampshire No chance getting to the front door until at least May! People are worried about flooding when all this lovely snow melts.

Just checking the airwaves

Night before back to work, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring...except me, per usuale. Must learn to sleep. Had a nasty fall on the ice today and almost - almost - started my back problem all over again. Lucky for me I had a visit with the physical therapist previously planned. That woman's a godsend, really.

What's new in Internetland? Got a good laugh from Mama Zen tonight, as always. Love checking the WWW before bed. Reminds me of the things I like most in life: friends, children, humor, good food, creativity, and love.

Now back to reality, and off to bed.
